Now THAT is a hawt friends-only banner! There must be something in the Winnipeg water, because I just redid mine last night too. =)

I think if you want it to not show up on everyone's f-list, you can select the "entry is post-dated" option. Not that I'm brilliant with this stuff, mind you.

Ok, for starters yours is absolutely mind-blowingly fantastic. The water is always dirty, so by proxy we're always amazing. (When I got an e-mail note for your response I was like, "Oh God, what did I do? What did she see that I didn't?!" because that's just how much I respect your member-longer-than-me status! Ha!)

Also, it's post dated for like, 2010 so it'll stay at the top... Steve can stay there. He likes it XD

I got the first pictures uploaded for the Great Medieval Icon project! I'm not sure if posting the pics in your journal is best -- tell me if you prefer that I do -- but in the meantime they're in a public photo gallery for my LJ account, titled Medieval Art. The first one is the full page of the artwork, and the other two are details from that page. I don't know if the two detail pics would make good icons, but I'm captivated by them. The bizarre women in particular, but the hell scene is also very good.

Let me know what you think!

No, it's fine they're in the public photo gallery- I am madly in love with the duck & fox one! It's really fun to be able to work with image quality & such when I'm given some license, so this is great. I'll try to use everything.

Excellent pictures, m'dear! I'll go nuts next week as soon as my stupid series of essays & tests are done at Uni. Can't wait!

I think that next week I'm going to give a slide show of the Ormesby Psalter to my class, so that they can see some medieval art for themselves. The marginalia is absolutely fabulous. One of my favorites is this monster man made up of nothing but legs and a smiling face where the crotch would be. When I get those slides from the visual resource center, I should be able to scan them in. *rubs hands craftily*

This is my I'm feeling crafty icon. Can you tell?
